Hi, just thought I'd say hi to all. I'm trying to get prepared for my next year at Uni and thought signing up here might be quite helpful.
Have had an interest in Audio Equipment for a while as a music lover and also from a technical perspective (though I would not claim to know too much about that side).
Built a set of speakers as a project for uni with octagonal shaped enclosures and while I love them I can see where the weak points are in retrospect (the 3" drivers would have been ideal for the enclosures rather than the 4" ones I used, and I could do with designing a good filter etc) how I could improve them.

So.... long story short, I've decided to do a design investigation into audio technology in a recording environment i.e. studio. Specifically on monitor speakers for my final year project. To say a lot rests on the success of this would be an understatement.
Hopefully the members on this forum will be able to help me acquaint myself with this area a little better before I get started later in summer, and I hope to be able to contribute a little myself.
