Hi,
just found this section of the forum and thought I might say a few words about myself.
My name is Mikael Hörnqvist, i'm born 1985 in Örnsköldsvik (sweden) (where all the great ice hockey players are from) but I currently lives and study at Luleå Tech. University. What do I study then? Well the I would say "sound design" which content alot of acoustics and math and physics. I'd first where going to study "audio electronics" but after have finished an acoustic course I changed my mind and dropped out of the electronics...
I have just started (1.5 year ago) building my own speakers and have already finish 4 pair of speakers. But I always re-used the same drivers for every speaker pair, just to try what I prefer for kind of sound. But I never liked the sound of the Bass reflex constructions I made, so I tried OB at the end of the summer and have just completed them during christmas.
Now I know what kind of speakers I can live with! The OB sound has everything I missed in regular HIFI-speakers, the uncolored sound, the clean and transient bass and of course the openness!
At the moment I'm sketching on an Jamo r909 clone with AEs OB15 as woofers...
I hope I can share and receive lots of inspirations and ideas of you guys!
Best regards
Mikael "H" Hörnqvist
