Have speaker cabinets, need compatible drivers

@motokok Thank you for the very good article. It's going to take me a while to digest it and, consequently, to understand vertical distance / lobing problem you're referring to. My tweeter and mid-bass driver are 7.5" (190mm) center to center. That doesn't seem very far, but then I'm not experienced in these things.
Some of the maths is over my head but you can search more threads on the "ctc spacing" keywords. With a distance of 190mm, this would actually fall into the vituixcad author's recommendation of 1.0-14x spacing ratios for good directivity based on the crossover frequency.

e.g. 190mm spacing gives a 1.4x ratio for a 2527hz crossover frequency

where f (frequency) 2527hz = 343 m/s (speed of sound in air) / 0.13571m (lambda; wavelength in metres)
and your 190mm = 135.71mm * 1.4

you could use these to evaluate compatible drivers. The DXT and U16 would be good with this, for example, also pretty close to Goran's design I linked before.

The rubber around the cones is shot but so is the center piece in front of the voice coil - it's actually half gone on one speaker (the other, the noisier of the two,
This is actually good, lets you slide paper shims between the VC and magnets to align the coil perfectly, replace surround, and then put a new cap on it. I think them drivers are probably pretty good, just need some love., save you a ton of cash.
If all fails, its not much money and you get the experience.
Watch some YT videos for maybe search this forum for info.
