Has Your DIY Home Theater Ever Been Stolen??

I was browsing theater related stuff a few days ago and I came across a web site for a company by the name of All Systems Tech. They do a variety of custom installs for security, audio, and video purposes.

The part that caught my eye was their web page for Custom Home Audio systems

I thought the image they are using looked a bit familiar to me. This link is for my home theater system. Its the same image as my avatar...

I suppose I should be flattered and all, but this just doesn't seem appropriate for a company claiming to perform custom theater installs to be stealing images and claiming it for their own work.

I think I'll give them a call and inquire about some of the specifics of this particular installation that they did 😀

I thought Ocoee Florida was familiar territory so I checked the map. It's about a mile from the site of the Orlando hamfest. I was there in February.

I got a photo of their "storefront." It is a PO box in a rental PO box shop. Looks like a high dollar operation for sure. They could be legit, but less than scrupulous, or they might not even be in the HT business. They could be "scouts" for some other nefarious business.

A visit to Division of Corporations - Florida Department of State turns up the registered agent of the corporation, that's who you would serve process to.

PUSEY, FABIAN O no address given.

They are a legally registered corporation in the state of Florida doing business at the Ocoee address. There are listings for 2016 and 2017. There are articles of incorporation for 2015 that list an officer of the corporation as Kathy Ballam, again no address given.

It seems unlikely they will be willing to pay for continued use of my image. Given their mailing address is a PO box and I've traced the business registration to a residential address, it looks like either a fly-by-night operation, or one that is just starting up and trying to gain some credibility without a client list.

Filing a BBB complaint requires that I reveal my full name and address, which I suppose, would happen no matter how I contact them as I am traceable through my image. I'm not looking for anything other than stopping them from using my image.

I think you should have fun asking them about that killer install. You want something just like it! When you get them hooked, send them a few photos of your system and tell them it's exactly what you want. 😀
