Update:
Happily, Mouser has been carrying these Toshiba dual transistors, wow! They're priced at only 18 cents, qty 100.
The duals seem to be NLA again, at least I can't find them.
Who bought them all up!?
Yes, those Toshiba dual low-noise transistors seem to be completely gone. There're not even any left at the obsolete excess-stock distributors tracked by Octopart. But hey, checking our Table 8.1, page 501, the 2SC3324 and 2SA1312 weren't all that impressive anyway. The "low-saturation" transistors by Zetex and others did far better for low e_n and with good beta. For example the ZTX550 or 718, mentioning the superior PNP types, and the winner, the ZTX951.
Working on another project, I found the Zetex npn+pnp complementary ZXTC2061E6. Candidate dual npn parts would include their DSS4160DS. Although these dual transistors aren't "matched" they are from adjacent portions of the die all made at the same time.
