Im looking to use this without a grill for outdoor aplications, im wondering if i can flip the dustcap to prevent it to blend or if its hard enough to resist hits since its done with aluminium?
Because i want it for outdoor use and the first version sounds great with ports but sand and humidity are a problem and with passive radiator the box is perfectly isolated
In that case I would care for cone protection first. Btw there exist myriads of vented PA-subs or back loaded horns for outdoor use.
