Has anyone tried Class-D current driver?

Hello,

Class-AB amp configured as current driver by using loudspeaker current feedback sounds just awesome, especially with fullrange speakers!

Has any one tried using loudspeaker current feedback to close the loop in a Class-D amplifier? Maybe the one with IRS2092 or something similar.

I can't wait to hear from you'll.
Thank in advance.

Yes, did this some years ago. This worked in a half-bridge topology with shunt resistor in the speaker return path. Stability issues arose which had to be compensated, i.e. it was not a perfect current source but something close to 50 Ohm impedance. Nevertheless, the effect of compensating voice coil inductance was obvious.
