SOS Mu-Cop (mucop) ASM code issues

Hi everyone,

I'm new with microchip and I'm having some troubles sorting out what ever is worong with the mucop code. I have read most of the postings in this thread and I'm pretty sure it's something I'm doing wrong. If anyone would like to share a pre-assembled and known working hex file for the 16f877 I would greatly appreciate the help. That way I can trouble shoot my project rather than just plain shooting it.🙄

how many people have manage to get the Mucop functioning?

thanks everyone.

Have you already done down the cap/diode/opamp path?

I found the 521i / 521BEE much greater challenges to mod than Philips and Marantz players in the same budget range. While the Philips-based units have less regulation on various power supplies, I found that the "better" opamps, caps, diodes I put into the NAD very quickly changed the sound to the detriment of NAD's original voicing (too explicit and detailed without benefits of greater smoothness or bass). I was not keen on the fact that the 5V regulator is fed by the 12V reg with a zener in between.

I think NAD took a lot of effort to get the 52x / 54x (similar I believe) to sound the way they do, whereas the budget Philips have a simple effective design, compromised by cheap components and layout.

Removing the mute section helps. Attention to the dac power supply will get good returns too.
