From perusing the data sheet linked below and especially figures 47 through 49, it appears that the 50pF distortion-reduction capacitor ought to work.
What distortion or other problems are you currently experiencing?

I might try this! I put the original components back in bc of some amp testing I had to do. I'm just glad that distortion is now back to <%.0017 for the different frequencies
