Where do you guys purchase machine head bolts ect. that are not rustic in appearance but somewhat ornate or exotic? I've just finished prepping a chassis and need some bolts for trannies, chokes ect. preferably powder coated black, and can't seem to locate any locally.

Any leads...?

Try www.smallparts.com for... well, small parts. They have nuts, bolts, screws, raw materials etc. though a quick look didn't show any black nuts or bolts but maybe I didn't look hard enough.

I would just look harder at typical retail stores. Rona has a good selection in the special parts bins. Wal-Mart has ornate nuts & bolts in the automotive section IIRC. Similarly you could look at any store or store department of automotive customization items.

Can't you just use HT bolts? Or did you want them glossy?

Thanks for the leads guys. I found what I was looking for. I bought some panhead screws (zinc) at Rona, but when I put them into the chassis they had an overbearing appearance. I wanted a neutral machine head and found what I wanted online.
