Kelly Doyle. Saw him a few days ago for the second time. Great stuff, ranging from metal to Zappa-progressive.

YouTube - Kelly Doyle Band - "Swinging Breasts"
YouTube - Kelly Doyle "Kumar"
Attendees of the last JanFest will recognize the second guitarist in the last clip.

No offense meant, I check other people's recommendation in search of something new. Lately though, your links are turning up a lot of bands that remind me of my brother's Old Socialist folk band:
YouTube - Trinity River Folk at The Kessler Theater
He's the mandolinista. It's a far cry from his glory days as the bassist for his old group, Course of Empire:
YouTube - Infested Course of Empire
Never mind the cheesy '90s graphics, they were an exciting hard rock group.

Corroded.
YouTube - CORRODED - Piece By Piece (Official Music Video)
The singer used to be my musics teacher.
Kill! Kill! Pussycat
YouTube - Kill! Kill! Pussycat - Robot Girl [HD]
People from my hometown. I know the guy to the left playing guitar and the singer. This is the only song on youtube of them but i think they have done more songs recently.
At The Gates
YouTube - At The Gates - Slaughter Of The Soul
Another Swedish group. Old-school Gothenburg heavy-metal 😀

i like hard rock from Zeppelin to Pantera but my favourite period in hard rock history is the 86-92 period
I'm not so much into that Poison/Metallica/GN'R era, and these bands don't fit that time frame, but have you heard the debuts of Legs Diamond, Moxy, or Lone Star (not the sappy country band Lonestar, but the Paul Chapman rock group)?
my favourite bands are Iron Maiden , whitesnake , foreigner , journey , van halen , giant , bad english , winger , danger danger.
Not a great hard rock fan but the ones I like are Black Sabbath, Motorhead, Living Colour and the Bad Brains. Mostly the early stuff of each.
IMO Dio outdid Ozzy and created the best BS album, Heaven and Hell. But my favorite hard rock bands are probably UFO, Budgie, and Blue Oyster Cult.
lduarte1973 ,
Since you like Iron Maiden you can check out the Bruce Dickinson solo albums - Tattooed Millionaire, Accident of Birth, Chemical Wedding.
If you haven't already listened to, then would I recommend Dio, Def Lepard and AC/DC. And yes Rush.
Sofaspud,
Heaven and Hell and Mob Rules are great albums. I was lucky to catch Dio, Iommi, Geezer, and Vinnie Appice live a few years back, and did they rock!

Not originally a rock band but started with rock on their b sides The Sweet did some good stuff later on. Look for The Sweet Sweet FA, this is a very good rock album. Most of the tracks are on youtube.
Ditto Sofaspud on the Heaven and Hell album, excellent album..
