All,
I don't understand how to tighten slotted nuts on cartridge screws (Hana SL cartridge). They are slotted type and screws stick out way beyond the nut surface. So no way to use flat screwdriver. Are there any special tools that exists for this ?
Please advice.
Thanks

Not easy. You can get spanners for this sort of nut, but I've never found any that'd fit a nut that small in that tight space. In the past I filed down some brass strip to make a slim U shape.
Alternatively I've used a watchmakers screwdriver as a wedge between nut and cartridge body or just in the slot on one side of the nut while I tighten it via the bolt head.

Cut a slot in an old screwdriver with a dremmel? Slotted screwdrivers are available. Or file the end of some metal tubing?

Yes. This is what the slots are actually for.
👍
Replace the nut with a hexagonal type. Grab it with a tweezers. Or just let it tighten by friction
Generally I don't tighten these screws too much.
Most of the times its enough to put the corner of a fingernail in the slot of the nut when fastening the screw.
