I'm not sure about this particular model but the amp in my Hammond L series works as is as a guitar amp and doesn't sound bad either, with some simple modifications (tone stack, volume control, etc.) you could probably get some pretty excellent sounds out of yours.
Yep PgrAm is right on. Plug a Tube Screamer into the RCA jack on the Expression pedal box. I think you will like what you hear!
I have done other Hammond conversions but never one like this. I am not used to working with octals and I am trying to find some existing examples of all octal amps.

The only difference with octals is the shape and size of the base, so any example would be fine.

Octals are great to work with because you have more space for your point-to-point wiring.
This is my all-octal amp: http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/tubes-valves/167872-my-cellini-triode-amp.html

I understand octals are the same as anything else, I was hoping to find some examples of all octal guitar amps for inspiration.

I have decided that I am going to play around with the stock design and I could use some guidance on where to place the volume and tone controls. Can I put a volume pot between V1 and V2 or is that a bad idea since V2 is a CF? I have temporarily placed a volume pot between V2 and V3 and replaced the expression control with a pot and a few caps and resistors and it works. I have the field coil speaker but I wont be using it. I have a 1000 ohm 25 watt resistor in place of the field coil but it gets super hot, do I need a higher wattage resistor or is there a better way?
