Also the number of bits does not have to equal the number of resistors. 🙂 They could be paralleled.
Yes, we will have to ask 'the man' 😉

That's than plan Stan. 😉
Actually was very glad to get that little tidbit.
I am very certain of it as he used it as an example.
50K/64/4 🙂
If you can get more out of him, then that's great, but at least we have that bit.
Are you planning to release boards for the haiku and/or counterpoint i/v stages soon? Otherwise I have to design a layout myself.

Yes. 🙂
Counterpoint PCBs are slated for the next PCB order.
Cheers!

Hi Russ
You got a lot of cool stuff going there! It brings up some nostalgy for me to see your relay attenuator for example. (Very similar to the one we made for Sidewinder 97).
1999 update here: http://www.norskaudioteknikk.no/pdf/Sidewinder-byggebok.pdf also with schematics.
My question to you is, did you build this 'cool IV' in reality, and how does it sound?
All the best from Lars Clausen

Hello Lars,
Thanks for the kind words.
That's an interesting looking preamp. It seems there is nothing new under the sun. 🙂
I have built one channel of the "counterpoint" I/V stage on proto board (no easy task), just to be sure it would work. It did work and very well, but its not really fair to listen to it in mono. 🙂 I am ordering PCBs now, and will actually be able to really listen to it soon.
Cheers!
