Hi
Are you sure it isn’t the HA 1196 not 95?

Aaah, you are right!
That's why i could not find anything.
See, part of the number six is missing, so it looks like five now.
Thanks gents, much appreciated. We are back in bussines.

Holy Cow,
This IC has been around for some 45 years, or am I mistaken?
Haven't seen it for ages, but I vaguely recall back in the day many diy audio magazines had some publication with a decoder circuit containing this IC.

I was working on an old Onkyo casseiver...that is received with cassette deck in it. CX-70.
It has big sankyo chip on the output, nice vintage sound, good for basement.
I cleaned the cassette deck, and it sounds fine. This casseiver has few flaws. First, it has no AUX input. So you can not plug any external signal to it. Bad mistake. I bypassed phono input, since it will not be used with turntable. That was easy. Other problem is, it has no mono switch. So on FM, even low signal station are played in stereo, with annoyingly high level of hiss. No way to turn it to mono. So I needed that MPX circuitry, and it was easy.
This is not something important, I will likely give the Onkyo to someone, but these two things annoyed me, so I fixed it.

Sorry, I do not. I tried to obtain it, actually purchased it online, from some manuals web page, but they never delivered, so I got fed up and requested money back, they complied. No manual.
