I have ordered a Gustard U10,but now I wonder if anyone used an external supply? What voltage (DC) does the Gustard run at?
Ok,then I can tell (if anyone is interessted)That the main regulator is a surfacemounted LM317 an the voltage in is 12v and the voltage out is 5v.Going to listen to it for a while now and (maybee) mod it as I have a salas shunt allready in a box.. 🙂
It soundED just fine i think before I messed it up and managed to short it..
So now I have ordered a U12 as the U10 has dissapeared from near all webstores..

Hi i am interested to know your findings.
I am thinking seriously to buy a U12 but i have read that it does not provide power isolation from the PC, a really nice feature to have
However if the sound is ok ...
I would also be interested to know how your audio chain is composed.
I would like to use it with an old dac i have that of course does not have a usb input.
I think that the usb to spdif converter is a nice device, but it can make or break the sound. It has a very important task
Thanks a lot indeed.
Kind regards, gino
I picked one up on ebay.
Hi ! may i ask you what you think of it ? how are you using it ?
as i see it is a little poor on mains noise filtering (actually there is no filter at all before the transformer) are you using some sort of additional filtering ? 🙄
Thanks a lot, gino 😀
Hi, I haven't used it yet! 🙁
Hi and thanks for the reply.
Kind regards, gino
