Has anybody tried to use guiter as speaker enclosure? Instead of open baffle I was thinking what it would like for a pair of accoustic guiters stripped off the strings, put a full range driver above and close to the opening, even one can put a tweeter on top of the bar too. May not sound good but I think it would look good to have two guiters stands up in the room.🙂

I know of a japanese builder, who used some resonant
type of enlosure.
Usually we do not want the box to "sing along"
which a guitarbody is built to do.
Instead we try so hard that our hair turn grey,
to dampen any kind of resonances.
Even use stone and sand, which wouldnt make a sound
when you knock at it.
The "knock-test".

If one can cut out the entire back of the guitar with a router, stiffen/dampen the inside wood a bit then there is a open baffle with the look of a guitar. Put the thing on a guitar stand, look nice...

Still checking out the garage/moving sales and bargain hunting for two similar acoustic guitars. Do not want to buy newish guitars just to gut them out, may be one day after I won the football pool. Just bought a circular cutting tool for it too.

OR:
Buy cheap acoustic guitar.
Put flattish speaker inside hole so cone face is flush with guitar front.
Attach speaker terminals to wire, set up plug arrangement so that a speaker cord can be plugged into the guitar.
Attach pickup to body of guitar.
Send either tones, music, whatever to speaker, while you play the strings. Loudspeaker and strings modulate each other and sound is picked up by guitar pickup.
