Forget about 10" or 8", go for 12" or 15".
Dayton PA310-8 is OK, but consider also Fane Sovereign 12-300
https://www.solen.ca/documents/pdf/fane/12300.pdf
and Eminence Gamma 15-2

There are a lot of older PAs with a bunch of D120 or D130 speakers in 'em. Not always the best choice.
Too high Qts.what do you think of this driver?https://www.solen.ca/pub/index.php?...u1=1&niveau2=15&niveau3=17&s1=2&s2=1&s3=4&s4=

Its more of a sub.
I use the FS 15-600LF as a sub.
A Fane Sovereign 12-250TC would be better.
Or a 12-200LC.
The Dayton Audio PA3xx series drivers appear to have decent & competitive specs for the price point. The 12s might be a good choice. China or Korea...who knows?
yeah the specs looks ok for a chep PA! do you thing 1x12 is ok for small rig without sub, or 2x12"?
2x12 doesn't go any lower than 1x12. Just 6dB more output and 6dB more heavy. If you're planning on using "a sub" with these a 1x12 is all you need. I run a pair of 2x12/2" alongside four horn subs, and it's about right for bass heavy music - you won't need 2x12 unless you have enough bottom to go with them.
I plan to use them with subs or without subs, my subs are tham12... 2xtham12(more on the way). I want to be able to use them without subs for smaller rig only 🙂
Is it a band or disco PA ?
My usual setup for a disco used to be 2 cabinets with 2 12 inch full range speakers in each.
Now I use 1 cabinet with a pair of 12 inch full rangers and a cabinet with a 15 inch sub.

It's for DJ and live sound but more live sound! I don't make DJ really often 😛 maybe 2x12 is the right box for me... but I need something compact! the footprint should not be more than 35cm by 52cm
With the speakers I use I get the sub on the car front passenger seat and the 2 by 12 inch goes in the back of the car. This leaves room for lighting and amplifiers.
So you want to make a cheesy homemade enclosure with 2 cheesy $23 guitar speakers (35W) because you are not happy with your 1000W big woofer titanium diaphragm driver 2 way biamplified processed system?Now I. have behringer B112D... now you understand why I want to buils something new
What am I missing here?
Oh ..... it's the ...... LABEL?
"Behringer bad bad bad !!!!!!!" ???????????
OK, no big deal, you can :
* paint it flat black
* straight pull it
* get your trusty Sharpie[tm] pen and a Post It [tm] note, write JBL [tm] in big bold letters on it and stick it covering the .... ugh! ..... Behringer label.
I bet it feels much better now, doesn't it? 😉
ahahaha you need to ear them before commenting my opinion.
1 the "big woofer" is the worst quality I've ever heard, this it is only 800W peak for the woofer and 100W for de high...it's not a titanium driver it's a aluminuium driver the amp is ok but the rest... no! it's a 200$ speaker... the amp is include in this price... I have a iNuke amp and Im very happy with it... the problem isnt the label, it's the bad quality product... maybe you should try thwm in a gig without subs... they sound bad the bass is bad and very not present... try them before telling me what to do... also I want a all passive system... so please respect my opinion if you dont know why Im thinking like this
