Some alternatives:

1) where the heck did you get a $20 buck electric guitar?

2) (no offence but) you dont seem to have much
know-how about guitars to begin with,
3) if all you need is a small practice amp, there are lots of things
that can be hacked to make a simple amp
(not the highest quality i might add)
i once ran mine thru a stereo,
using radioshack adaptors,
it worked ok,
but was not portable,

4) if you actually want a legit amp, i suggest ya buy one,
but if you really insist on going all out
and getting an amp
ask someone else

A quickie amp could actually be lurcking around your house,
some older boom boxes had inputs (mic , line in, aux ect.)
if you get a 1/4 inch patch cord (guitar standard)
and a 1/4 in to 3.5mm adaptor, you could even plug into your soundcard, just be shure not to put any effects or amps between
your guitar and pc, you could (and probally would) blast your
sound blaster or whatever (by blasted i mean fried)

ive done it before, i used the mic jack and turned it down a bit
sounded good and i also could apply effects via pc (although it can be somewhat delayed)

i seriously doubt it but if your guitar has an active pickup
(youll know this if you have to insert a battery anywhere on your guitar)
i wouln't plug it into a pc unless you turned it WAY down,
even then i would use the line in instead of mic,

i can usally find somthing around to plug into...
ive even used:

my tv, a amp i built on a 200 in one science fair project (sucky)
my o-scope (lol a 150Mhz amp used for audio 🙂 )
a gramark kit radio i built (then modded)
pc speakers, (any amplified speakers will do)
even an old bell telephone and a 9V battery,

(un related) i once gout music out of a Ti-86 calculator using a
homemade graphlink and a costom program
