I've been to Germany - even took a little German in highschool. I can even make a little sense of what he wrote. But I just used babelfish (http://babelfish.altavista.com/) to translate. No reason to force english on everybody when it's so easy to translate... even if it comes out alittle funny sometimes. 😉

Not that this'll help my argument...
"I was to Germany - a little German in that High School even took. I can be even a little meaningfully of, which he wrote. But I used straight babelfish, to translate (http://babelfish.altavista.com/) in order. To force no reason, English on each, if to translate like that is simply..., even if it comes from that alittle, that sometimes; is merry"
Anyhow, a picture's worth a thousand words. That's a freakin' cool lookin' amp!

Wow. I'm looking into doing something similar. What OPT load are you using? Are you actually using a full 3kV to the center tap?
How are you doing the CCS for the cathodes?
Does it sound as good as it looks?

Hi,
I don't see any...?
Only "Hochspannung, Vorsicht Lebensgefahr" and a lot of iron.
Cheers,😉

it's certainly not a beginner project !
Without the OPT it's possible to direct drive ESL !
The anode load could be resistive or even more iron.
I hope we are not going to see new threads in all kind of languages

fdegrove,
I'm assuming the "A"s with +&- around them are that. Otherwise it would be difficult to run class A with 3k on the plates. I could always be wrong, so I thought I'd ask.

Hi,
Thing is it runs in class B not A...
Bernd was kind enough to send me an e-mail about the amp with a link to a gallery where the design is hosted.
I must say this thing scares the living daylights out of me...
Have a look:
DIE MOEHRENBUDE...
They look like CTs for the heaters to me but I'm not sure either...
Cheers,😉

D'oh. Those are, of course, the mA meters. Must. Jumpstart. Brain.
Wow. He's running those full tilt? I wonder how he damps the clanking when he walks. That's one heck of a beast.
I get "funkenstrecke" translated as spark gap. Now I'm scared. I was wondering how he'd deal with the transformer kicking back during cutoff.
I am duly impressed and suggest considering prolonged psychological counseling.
