Hello, Thom. Matched tubes are available still. Shipment to Canada is a bit expensive, 35+19=54usd if a parcel will be up to 2kg, but if I use original boxes and good packing (for a pair), parcel's weight comes to 2,2kg and I need to pay as 3kg parcel. That means shipment price will be 35+19+19=73usd. PayPal did not start working in Uzbekistan, in spite that our government had some negotiations and promised to arrange that PayPal would work.Do you have a matched pair available? Shipping would be to Canada. I PayPal still banned in Uzbekistan?
Thanks, Vladimir. That is pricey, but secure packaging is worth the extra $. I'll look into the payment methods mentioned above.Hello, Thom. Matched tubes are available still. Looks like MoneyGram is the best option, although I'm not sure about security. How well are the pair matched? Will they have the "OTK" stamp? Thanks again, Thom.Hello, Thom. I did many sales in this way during last 15 years.Looks like MoneyGram is the best option, although I'm not sure about security. How well are the pair matched? Will they have the "OTK" stamp? Thanks again, Thom.
About terms of testing: "To compare individual gu48 tubes, the following test setup was assembled:
15 Ohm resistor is connected to each filament pin. The opposite ends of these resistors are connected together, at this point we have the midpoint of the filament voltage. The midpoint is then connected to ground with 200 ohm resistor. Plate voltage was adjusted for each tube, at which plate current comes to 135 mA. At the same time, due to the autobias on the resulting equivalent cathode resistance of 208 Ohms, the negative grid bias is 28 volts.
In other words, one can say, that for each tube example, an individual value of the plate voltage was determined, at which the bias on the grid consists -28V and the plate current was 135 mA."
The pair that could go to you is: voltage 1762V (manufactured in 1971), and 1766V (1972 year).
Ink printed OTK stamp is present, relevant photos are enclosed.

Great. I'll send a PM for payment details.I did many sales in this way during last 15 years.

Payment has finally been sent for the GU48 pair! Sorry for the delay, Vladimir, and I'm looking forward to the tubes. Thanks again, Thom.I did many sales in this way during last 15 years.

Dear Thom, parcel has been sent. Hope, as usual, delivery period will be within 2-3 weeks. Tracking number is given in PM. Have fun with the tubes. Vladimir
Hello, Yasioo. The tubes are available still, but I need to check situation with post services. Previous time I used state owned post service, and they have broken three tubes from four. Maybe I could find other post, but not so expensive as DHL.
Hello, dmfractal, hello Yasioo. I just have checked tariffs of less expensive courrier transportation company - EMS Uzbekistan. It is in fact European company. For a parcel 1,5-2kg (I believe 2kg could be enough for sending two tubes, depending on packing materials, with original boxes) tariff is around 70 usd.
Please consider and reply whether this amount acceptable or not.

I just have visited the EMS post office. They confirm, that their tariffs are lower now. For all European region (Spain , Austria and all Eurupean countries, they have equal tariffs. For 2kg it is 70 usd, for 2,5kg it is 80 usd. It is much smaller than several years ago, for expedited post.
So, please, if interested, make your requests.

I would be interested in a pair or quad if a quad is still available. What are my payment options?
Hello, dmfractal. Preferable way of payment is via Western Union payment system (online payment is usually possible). Similar payment system is MoneyGram, if it is present in your country. Payment by bank transfer via SWIFT is also possible, but for small amounts it is very unconvenient, because sending bank withtracks around 50usd, and receiving bank in Uzbekistan withtracks around 50usd. Transactions total time period is about calendar 1 week (3-4 working days). If one needs to transfer 100usd, he should spend in total around 200usd. For big amounts being transfered these 100usd losses are not so important.
It doesn't sound very safe, but I guess there are no better options. What can you offer? What pairs/quads are available?
