This thread is to gather interest and discuss, if there is interest a wiki page will be started.
The concept is a 4" cube of polished copper, milled out, 1 channel chipamp inside, sockets on underside, sitting on a black plinth.
The more realistic version is probably anodised aluminum in choice of colors.
The main group buy is for just the cube, and maybe a blank socket panel. Although sub-buys might emerge for other bits.
My thoughts for a plan are:
1) group effort to iterate design then produce drawing
2) obtain quotes for prototype and batch (group task)
3) choose supplier(s) considering postage etc.
4) get/check prototype for quality
5) order batch
I don't need to be the person placing the order, but I am willing. It might be the person who finds the local machine shop with a good price.

I've posted a better design now in this thread http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/chip-amps/158437-monolithic-chipamp-enclosure.html
No CNC milling required, just a lathe. Therefore should be pretty cheap, hence no need for group buy. Not that there was any interest 🙄
