The diodes are OK. The ripple current is determined by the forward voltage of the diodes but I would say that any snap-in capacitor will work as long as the capacitance is high enough.
Hi Peranders do you know if it's necessary to have a fuse in series with DCT03? "CE". There is only series components so what could possible be dangerous?
