I'm finally wiring up my Grounded Grid preamp after much delay. Partly due to me deciding to hand wound a toroid to power it.
I have some MIL-W-16878 stranded 22 gauge wire. Is this sufficient to provide 12V 1A DC (from LM340T) to heat three 12AU7A's or should I use something thicker? The tubes will be daisy-chained.

You need something slightly thicker..or you can double up ofcourse

Chassis wiring = short runs between components in the chassis.
Power transmission = running power over distances (say between an external PSU and amp chassis).
I would think that running wire from an internal PSU to a heater pin on a tube would qualify as chassis wiring if the distance is relatively short like a couple inches.
However, if in doubt 20AWG is cheap and available anywhere.
