Just dropping the usual 'get to know me' post, I suppose...
I ran across this site for the first time today and spent a couple hours looking over the forums. Really, some great stuff in there... answered quite a few of those 'back of the mind' questions I've had for a while.
In any case, I guess you can say it's been somewhat inspirational for me to come across this site. It's been a while since I've done much technical audio stuff (I'm really more a videophile), but I've got some ideas that I'd like to work out (everything from flushing out my home-entertainment center to doing some work with specially encrypted DVD audio channels), and this seems like the place for me to be.

I don't know about the encrypted part but he now works or has recently worked in the manufacturing field on similar players - I can't remember if it's cd players and/or dvd.
Anyhow, he knows his stuff on them and is also a nice guy.
