Greetings from Sydney Australia; it's New Years Day & we're all bathing in the afterwash of some serious partying down here!
My hifi interests are broad; a notorious DIYer, but fortunate enough to have procured some decent gear as well. Principle interests are horn speakers (THAT ongoing project that I'm sure we all have one of), and tweaking the system that little bit more for as little as possible...!
Hope I can both learn from & share with the community here! 🙂

A bit about the horn project (yep, one of many, Tony! 😀 ); I've got a couple of Lowther PM6A's that I'm modding; had some custom NeFeBr magnets made, the same size as the original alnicos. Expensive? Damn right ($550AU/pr, destroyed the credit card in the process)! 😱
An absolute bugger to mount & align? Even more so! Had the screws just off fully tight, with lots of tapping with a mallet, the whole assembly set up in my Black & Decker adjustable workbench! The first took about half an hour, I thought: "This is easy!", the second took about three...
Haven't had a chance to do any decent listening tests as yet, & still haven't built any cabinets yet (still designing those). Thinking about a front and rear loaded assembly, but lots of work, not easy, not much time either. Never mind, there's always the hours between midnight & dawn...
btw, I may be on & off the air a bit over the next month or two; I have to move apartments, so on-line time may be a bit thin for me. Just so you don't think I'm being rude by not replying straight away! 🙂
