just a quick intro, New to the world of electronics, already on my first project however - unlike most starting from a basic LED circuit im going for a full on "All In One Mixer/PC.
anyhow,,, will be actively asking for assistance and will be addidng threads to update my project, requests and Picture of the build(this may take some time lol)

Welcome Chris!! When you say all in one Mixer/PC are you planning on doing some pc based recording? Are you going to mount the mixer in the pc and connect to the pc sound card inputs? just curious 🙂

this is the link to the thread I have posted,, my plan is to strip a mother board from a PC (utilise all neccessary parts), a monitor from a flat screen monitor, build the mixer controls and incorporate the output (soundcard) to the mixer.
This way there is a complete package ie,, PC, Audio Mixer (mic inputs etc), Midi Controller function for DJ'ing (interfaced with PCDJ, VDJ or similar)(with custom scratch/mix wheels)
all nicely in one complete package (briefcase style)(Flight case).
This will save time, wiring (when out on gigs), amount of boxes/items to carry and connect. AND it makes for a great project...lol
ps. The other cool feature/assistance is that the power supply from the Slim Format PC has both 12V and 5V DC feeds so no need for additional power supplies....lol

You might want to check out inexpensive micro ATX and ITX mother boards, particularly ones that utilize passive cooling. For most DJ apps I would think an atom processor based solution would provide enough horse power. There are some very good DJ apps in linux that you might want to check out unless you are irrevocably wed to the windows environment.

lol thanks for that,, yes im afraid, Very loved up with windows.... (sad I know) just what Im used to at the mo,, worth a look though, never know.
