howzit every one i guess that you could say that i'm a total newbie, this being the first forum and the first amp and the first electronics parts that i've ever bought not assembled! a lot of firsts!

hi thanks for the welcome! pretty cool to be talking to people who don't roll eyes when you wax lyrical about sound. I saw that one of the most popular amps are the "gain clones" my supplier doesn't have any in stock, so until then I put together an amp using an amplifier module STK4141, but I feel like a bit of a cheat, I used Elna caps throughout (best I can get here) and it sounds pretty good but looks a bit rough, chuffed with my firstgo though. will make one of the gain clones as soon as I can.
