Hi all,
Just registered today to take advantage of this great resource. I am starting to get the DIY speaker bug.
In my youth (many decades ago) I built many a Heathkit, Fisher (dimly recall) and Knight-kit for audio and ham radio.
These days I am semi-retired and operate a computer software business.
Just converted a spare room to a small home theater with a nice Panasonic projector. Now I find myself being sucked in to upgrading the audio for it, little by little 😉
Right now I have a pair of Fostex FE127's on order from
Madisound, and have built a couple of BR enclosures just to fool around with them when they come in.
I really look forward to soaking up all the good info here. I doubt that I will have anything meaningful to contribute for quite a while, but there is always hope...
Thanks for letting me in.

Hi I work Texas Instruments and live near Spring Valley, good to meet a neighbor
Have you checked out Tanners Electronics over off of Valwood and I-35? They have some descent electronic stuff, though not very much "Hi-Fi" stuff, but still a great resource for parts and good prices.

Thanks for the welcome
I appreciate it. I will have to check out Tanners soon.
Luckily I was never in the Telecom Industry, and have been operating my little business for the last 12 years. Lots of empty buildings still here, though.
A was going to build some surrounds with the FE127E's but I did something else. So now I have them in, and am playing around to see what they can do.
I look forward to exchanging info with the folds here.
