To introduce myself, here is the system setup I am using
Magnepan Tympani IV with BG NEO8 line array midrange 300 Hz to 5 KHz with 1st order tuning
Triamping with Marchand XM44 crossover
Amplifiers:
Bass: Crown 5002VZ (2500 W/Ch at 4 ohms)
Mid: Classe DR-9
Treble: Bryston 4B NRB
Preamp: Updated Audible Illusions Dual Mono (now at its silver anniverssary)
Digital Source: Sony 707ES
Analog: Oracle Alexandria with litz wired and dampened arm, Garotte MM cartridge, Melos 333 phono pre
Wiring:
Speaker cable: home made 600V burial cable for Bass 6 gauga, Tara RSC 2 for mid, 8 ga stranded 9999 copper hookup cable.
Interconnects: JPS superconductor various models, solid core 22 and 24 ga twisted wires.
System goal:
High realism in spatial presentation and tonal structure at true symphonic orchestra volumes, i.e. ffff =105-110 db SPL.
