Hello!
I am a transplant from the USA who was living in Australia for many years who then met and married an Italian woman who works in Belgium... It's a long story, but here I am... Long gray winters here are very conducive to long hours tinkering at the workbench (or computer)...
I stumbled across diyAudio while Googling the TDA1520 audio amplifier IC... (This IC is obsolete, so Philips does not post the datasheet anymore...lucky I found it here!! I have several of these ICs in my junk-box and I would like to use them as part of a medium power ultrasonic generator for chasing pesky doormice from my attic)
I do not consider myself an audio expert, but I have worked on various projects involving audio (including constructing subwoofers, power amplifiers and active crossovers as well as ultrasonic sensors and range-finding).
I enjoy all aspects of electronics, but most of my time is spent working on numerical models of electronic circuits/systems, electromagnetic wave propagation, electromechanical and fluid dynamics problems. My recent electronic projects have been in pulsed power. I am particularly interested in class-D and switched-mode power conversion (both for audio as well as other applications)..
Cheers!

Welcome to a 'Belge' who travelled around the Globe; well not really...you are native... American?
Will you be able to settle now? 😉
Please go on with that mousetrap, if I ever loose my cat I'll buy one from you.
/Hugo 🙂
