I thought I would introduce myself. Newbie here From Lehigh Acres, Fl. USA. I came accross this site while searching fdor info on the panasonic wm-61a electret mic element and DIY circuits that make use of them. I am a ham/cb operator who is looking for better audio freq range on the cheap. Heils are overpriced... Great mics, but waay overpriced. Astatic D-104's, Turner Plus3's and SSK's sound nice, but OEM parts are getting scarce... So i figured it might be worth toying-around with then by retrofitting these old mikes with those tiny electret elements........ So here I am.
I hope to learn and contribute.

Hi #3 - and Welcome to diyAudio!!!😀😀😀

There are quite a few discussions about mic's when some of the kids get into measuring speaker response and performance. Most go for the store bought and calibrated mic's - but some get into making up DIY versions, so you might find something in that neck of the woods. 😉
