Hello everyone, I'm new to the forums and wanted to introduce myself. It's amazing the level of information available here, it's almost too much. I joined the forums for the information available on projectors, and I did some extensive searching for my specific scenario.

I got lucky and happened to get a Boxlight MP-93i LCD projector that my employer was going to throw away. The bulb had about 100hrs left on it which I'm now down to about 20 🙁 As everyone know's here the current prices for a 120W UHP bulb are in one word sodomizing. I like many, many, others I have read about here would like to circumvent this problem but we lack the complete know how in order to do this.

My projector is definately small weighing only 9lbs, would it be possible to retrofit this machine with an alternative lamp? Specs:

Dimensions = 9.8"/24.8cm(W) x 3.9"/9.9cm(H) x 13"/33.0cm(D)
1024x768 true XGA and compressed 1280x1024 SXGA
800 ANSI Lumens
120W UHP
Three 0.9" TFT polysilicon
200:1 contrast
16.7million collors
Aspect 4:3
bla bla bla
Power - AC100-120v/220-240v: 50/60Hz

Thanx
