That's OK, I have some greasy jeans too. We might just get an answer here.
Either that or we can go ask our wives/gf's. 😉

That's good. It's not nice to be sore at people who try and help you. Especially when it appears you had made a mistake 😉
I'd just like to know the rules. [/B]
Among the rules is no hijacking. If you care to read some others they're right here. Happy reading.

Actually one of the best grease cleaners is the stuff you get from janitorial supply places and is made from citrus. I forget what it's called but we refer to it as Agent Orange. Doesn't hurt clothes and gets grease and other nasties out.
Yep that's what I use. Sometimes sold as adhesive remover. Works wonders for getting all sorts of grease out of clothes.

Not to jack the thread, but the more concentrated citrus solvent can strip anodising off aluminum. This can be either a major problem or useful, depending on wether you just wanted to clean something or strip it bare. Oh, and if you leave aluminum too long in a bath of citrus solvent in a steel tank, then it grows all sorts of clumpy nasties. Sort of like those paper trees that you put in a tray of special liquid and grow "blossoms".
