I have a Harman kardon 051-B00012A-E with bad IRF640N & IRF9640. Are there any good substitutes? They appear to be hard to find, and was hoping to avoid buying over seas.
Thanks.
Thanks.
They should be easy enough to find from major stockists as they are still being made, all the UK big suppliers carry them and not expensive either. You would be better off fitting the IRF640 note not N suffix, as the N suffix is a newer smaller die type that IR strongly recommend against using for linear/audio applications.
hmmm... interesting... I'll look into that... the original was a irf640N but if the irf640 is better than I'll go that route.
Would you happen to know of a reputable UK supplier that has these parts?
Thanks.

If it's a class-d amp you can ignore the comment about the N suffix version. RS and Farnell both carry them, Farnell bought Newark and I can't remember offhand who RS links up with in the US.
