Look for Acer AL1531 15" monitors, they have the best panel of all monitors, real 24-bit (16.7 milj) color (not dithered), 16 ms response time and 500:1 CR. None have dismantled them yet.
Also the good old BenQ FP567s is excellent, though I dislike the controller which isn't the best (works OK with DVD playback but with games of fast video sometime jerky screen update). 16 ms response time, 450:1 CR and 18-bit color (dithered 16.2 milj colors).
