Hey now.

Aside from "whatever fits" or "whatever you like" or anything like that whats a good size enclosure for the b5 pre. I will be using an external walmart type power supply.

Thank ye' 😀

Oh, and one last thing and I'm good to go- whats the hell is a generic led? Are we talking one of those little bulbs I can get in Radio Shack?

How about a Galaxy 288 from the store? Galaxy 288 (3mm Front) - Compact with Quasi Heatsinks - Chassis

You could probably fit it inside a 188, but for me the form factor of the 288 suits better, especially if you use big heavy interconnects or want 2 knobs on the front. Part of the decision is driven by what you intend to use as a volume control and source selector. If you are using a 2 position switch for source selection and a dual pot, almost anything works. A mechanical stepped attenuator can make things more difficult, an electronic one like the Aleph P takes more room.

Generic LED is an LED size and color of your choice. Size the series resistor to give the brightness you desire.
