Good, shallow 8" sub driver needed

Can anyone recommend an 8" sub (if you can call an 8" driver a sub) that is fairly shallow in dimension?

I need to mount the driver in a pretty darned small box....hence not having much room to fit the driver and needign a shallow driver.

I can reccomend a car audio sub....Kicker makes a brilliant sub that can work in very tight spots....hope this helps

What about using an 8" passive radiator, and then coming up with something smaller with a *HUGE* Xmax to drive the 8" PR?

*thinks crazy thoughts*

I really believe that one day the best speaker systems will be one driver unit that's 4" across with 6" Xmax, and a 12" passive radiator. 😀 Complete phase coherency!!
