Good open air bass for my bike?

Well, thanks for that. Respect to whom respect is due I suppose. But have you read the thread? I think decoys should be mandatory on thread starters. That way everybody won't dare not read it from the start. OTOH, it's fun seeing certain people make fools of themselves🙂

So, post #1 is BS and post #12 is true and you complain about hostility, that is funny.
No, not BS... just hypothetical. Mine, yours, his. Who cares? Are you reconstructing my intention? It can't not be clear. Especially to you, who has read the thread. What does that have to do with somebody barreling in not knowing what they're talking about? I hope you're laughing right now otherwise this crowd is getting way too old🙂

What? This guy used to ride a full dress Harley. I fail to see how I've misrepresented my motive here. Bottom end capability is the issue. If low and loud doesn't speak to FR, what does? You can make it loud but without bottom end. So?

Systems I see are apparently top tier. It's not a matter of power. It seems competition is characterized by spl rather than FR. Makes no sense. I guess it does considering the direction appears to be some sort of bass boost.

Frequency Response: 20Hz - 20kHz +/-1dB

What do you mean SPL rather than FR. You want lower or what? The spec probably isn't totally accurate but if it is what's wrong with the FR? 90 db on the system I looked at. Nothing wrong with the SPL from these either.

The system has been set up to use on a bike. Yes, they likely use a lot of eq'ing to do what they do. Marine and bikes are similar environments for sound systems although bike electronics won't support what boats do.

Spend hundreds on sound and 20k on the bike. Price isn't out of line although if you flip bikes often you'd need to keep the sound system or take pennies on the dollar for it when selling. Unless you're looking to spend $20 on the system in which case good luck.

I meant similar ones I've seen on bikes. The published specs may be a bit misleading. Not sure how they arrive at them. They are awfully small drivers. I started this thread hoping someone knew about a raw driver manufacturer not necessarily market specific.

Maybe this Idea is expandable?
