Good Match?

Im getting the Alpine V12 MRD-M300. is it better to use the alpine 12" 2ohm or 4ohm Type R subwoofer with it? They're both rated at 300w RMS and the amp is at 300w x 1 2ohm 14.4v. im just wondering if i should get the 2 ohm 12" sub or the 4ohm 12" sub.

You need to get the 2-ohm subwoofer. This will make the amp put out 300W to it. Were you to get the 4-ohm version, you would only be getting 150W to it.

its a dvc, so i can wire it to run at 2 ohms instead of 4 right?

Well since its a DVC, you need to get the Dual 4 ohm version. Wire the terminals in parallel for an end load of 2 ohms.
