Timely question, I just got my first oscilloscope.

The Navy manuals Neets, module 16 is good, in fact any Neets is great:

also further down on same page is a link by Tektronics – The xyz’s of oscilloscope.

Anyone having problems opening page? All the module links come back with "page not found".

All good stuff guys! sklimek, what did you end up getting? I have ancient eico scope and I'm going to make an upgrade soon.

I got a beautiful tek 465, it came from an University professor, fully loaded with probes, I got lucky, this scope was loved.

In case you haven't searched around there are some good threads here on which 'scope' to purchase and what to look out for.

I also found this for video training, I ordered it but can't speak for it yet.

Good luck!
