Just finished this pair of amps. OPA549 poweramp with snubbered psu. OPA627/BUF634 preamp incl. linestage, headphoneamp and RIAA amp. Wanted this pre to be versatile, so it can act as a standin on the main system, when modding.
This set of amps will do service in my workingroom, connected to the PC, cd player and a tuner if I can find one that would fit in with the colors😉 Its a sweet sounding couple😎
A few pics follows.

Tell more about chassis - is it all made out of aluminium? How is it finished?? I like the brushing effect - did you do it yourself or ...

Wow, guys.... Thanks a lot for the kind words.

The chassis are bought from Taiwan. Easy enough to order on the internet. Here is the link to the mekka🙂

These chassis are all aluminium, brushed and anodized. Jrsun makes a groupbuy on something similar, but not in this small size (approx. 20x25cm or 8x10") and the Champagne color.
That psu is totally quiet, thanks Nuuk.
Overall I will rate the OPA627/BUF634 preamp higher on the HiFi ladder than the common GC/chipamp.
Steen🙂

Its Jantzen audiocaps 3,3uF, similar to Audyn. Is this an AudynCap input capacitor? Which size?
Nuuk, Hmm, maybe you are right, but these amps can come in handy when I am messin' with my other amp😉 Did you recognize the psu in the preamp? It's taken from your own homepage😎Almost too good for a PC based music system!

You are right Pavel, these two last boards did come to good use as you see.🙂Oh, it's you, Steen

Very nice work Steen!
Now I'm out the door for a evening fishing trip 🙂
Can't always listen to music, has to listen to the nature also, no tweaks needed 😉

what kind of soundcard do you have btw?
one of theese days i'm gonna make myself something not too unlike this, drawing on my past experiences ac a computer casemodder.
the theeme is back-painted plexi glass for that increadible glossy finish and matching preamp, power amp and computer 😀
keep it up!
