Hi guys, just asking here if anyone knows where I can buy a gold/brass coloured switch, toggle or push button, SPST is all it needs to be, to use as a power switch on in a class A amp with a timber front panel. I've seen on line switches advertised as guitar switches which select between pickups but cannot find any electrical specs for them. I thought maybe kitchen appliances or the likes may use gold/brass coloured but cannot find any either?
Mouser carries a large line of switches.
I tend to use a light-touch momentary pushbutton, metal-faced, to trigger a simple circuit that kicks on a power relay of a standby supply.
That way, a larger selection of switches can be used, only needing to "pulse on/pulse off"a few mA of current.

Yes Mouser do have lots and have had a look here, lots to go thru and still searching.
The idea if using a smaller switch to switch a relay also occured to me, nice to see others think the same
Yeh thanks, I did see that one, but fugly I reckon, thanks all the same, appreciate your time

The only problem with "plated" switches is.... the plating wears off over time.
As for me, I like the brushed/polished stainless steel look.
Yeah thanks kodabmx, that's a really simple and good ideaAny switch can be gold...

I've found many caps, knobs, etc that would fit an existing switch, often intended for lamps. Perhaps that is an avenue you could pursue.
