Hey everyone. After a long break (about seven years) from owning "real" audio equipment, I decided to jump back in head-long and bought myself a circa-1977 Onkyo TX-4500 receiver. Now I'm on the look-out for a matching turntable.
I love the look of the vintage silver-face/wood cabinet gear, and am designing a system in that vein.
I am currently upgrading/rebuilding a pair of cheap, early-70's Sony bookshelf speakers to get my feet wet in matching woofers with tweeters, designing crossovers, and constructing speaker cabinets. Once I finish them up and get them sounding nice, I want to move on to a full-DIY speaker cabinet with veneer and all that fun stuff.
