GNP Speakers

Hi all,

I'm new here to the group and hopefully I could add something new here.
So wanting a pair of LS3/5a speakers but seeing the prices are on the upside
($1200- $3000) on ebay, I decided to do a search there on the Vintage section
under bookshelf speakers and low and behold I found these a pair of GNP
speakers and at a great price as well, When I got them there were a few things
wrong the surrounds were coming away which I glued back on, otherwise with
the Polydax (Audax) tweeter's and 4 inch Bextrene woofer that looks LS3/5a like they
sound really good. So here's some pics. I do want to do the following the
crossovers are glued to the back panel so when I get new caps should I redo
it by putting them on a board of some type to make it easy to get at for any
mods I want to do, also I was thinking of picking up some LS3/5a cab off
ebay and put a redone crossover and drivers into it, the cabinets I now have
are just 1/2 a inch wider than the LS3/5a cabinets will that make a difference,
what do you guy's think?

Thanks

well for now I just changed the electrolytics, I was going to get them at Falcon using
Alcaps but the price of each plus shipping and being sent from England so the price
was a little to much, so I got them from from Parts Express. I just put them back as
found but purchased enough to remake on a board. Pictures will follow.
