And I must say that I am impressed by the content in this forum. I have been sampling the information posted here for a while and felt compelled to join.
About myself:
35 continious years experience in one form of electronics maintenance or another. Historicaly I have repaired HI-FI equipment (mostly 70's and 80"s vintage), Industrial machine controls, computers, and I got my start repairing television sets. Now working in broadcasting I am on the other end of the chain.
For the last 7 years I have been assigned the task of maintaining a million watt HDTV UHF broadcast transmitter and 2 100Kw VHF NTSC broadcast transmitters. These wattages are in effective radiated power of course. This is a fun job for me.
Ok I now look forward to learning and sharing knoledge with you folks.
Greetings all! 🙂

You'll find you're not alone here, I've been doing radio for 25 years. TV is an ideal job if you choose to follow the tube muse. You'll never look at that 'old junk' in the back storeroom/basement the same way again.
Welcome!
Welcome! I poked around a few years ago, thought that the level of expertise was impressive, and hung around. Life hasn't been the same since.
