Hi, This board is awesome!
I'm fairly good on the internet, and have looked for agggggges, but have had no luck in finding the answer to my general problem in your archives. The problem is that there is sooooooooo much interesting information to sift through, and not enough categorisation. I'm not being critical, but it's like hunting for a needle in an enourmous pile of needles!
I don't need anyone to hold my hand or anything but could someone point me towards an answer to this:
How do I modify an OHP to increase it's output - what are the options?
Many thanks for any help you guys may offer, and sorry once again for being a newbe but I have tried to find this without bothering you!
Thanks,
Ben

Wow thanks
Wow you're funny! I did try to make it clear in my question that I'm not a complete idiot who's just stumbled onto your site, can't be bothered to read it properly, and want's to 'build a radical tv, man!'. I spent hours and hours looking at posts here, and have a few simple questions!
Obviously it requires a brighter lamp, let me be more succinct-
What are the issues affecting installing a MH lamp in an OHP ie is there space, does it require extra cooling, what wattage is optimal, and most importantly, would the optics of the OHP suffice, or do I need to start messing around with new lenses etc?
You seem to be one of the most knowledgable people here so surely u could spend a few mins helping me... we all start somewhere u know. And the site is not very beginner friendly! although I do have some knowledge of electrics, physics and electronics.
Anyway, any help is appreciated bud.

Do a search on YWH, he is a member that has some great advice on "re lamping" an OHP (and a few other oddball projects, respect intended)....only trouble is some of his gear is only available cheaply/easily in the orient.
tips...tell us what OHP you wan to mod, look for one that allready has a condensor lens and reflector...
