The thread, http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/analog-line-level/218373-discrete-opamp-open-design.html, discussing and progressing this effort shouldn't be cluttered with Spice analyses and exploration of how the various ideas expressed therein could pan out, or other random thoughts, I agree. Many people don't tune into the whole sim thing, so there might as well be a separate thread for playing with modelling ideas, and for comparing with the performance of real circuits that people build, and even dissecting and explaining, using LTspice, how the various circuits work ...
I'll add bits and pieces as they occur to me and I make progress with understanding the circuits, and I invite anybody else who tunes into this approach to contribute ...
