I just have trouble with the idea of eating anything called Krapfen.

Do you have Fry's in NJ? You can buy disk drives, washing machines, MOSFETs, and EPROMs, then stand in line at the checkout next to all the junk food and Penthouse magazines an engineer could ever want.
 
Yes indeed, he told the Berliners that he was one of them and the rest of Germany that he was a Krapfen. Thank God, he didn't give that speech in Wien (Vienna). 😀

P.S.: OK, I am exaggerating here. JFK's speech will always have a big place in the heart of the Germans, not only Berliners.
