Genuine or Fake parts

I'm trying to get a couple of LM35DZ (TO-92) for a Cordell BC-1 project. The part seems to be unavailable except from China on Ebay. They even say in the description these parts are generic and not from TI/NS. Anybody have any? Or should I just buy some fakes and see if they work?

J113 are sufficiently cheap that there is not that much incentive to fake them.

Unfortunately their price has doubled.

Fortunately I have 300,000...
That’s what I thought until I ran into a batch of MPSA06’s that were PNP. In the application, almost any NPN transistor would have worked. Real, fake or otherwise, as long as it was NPN.

If somebody Slipped in some 2N3904’s or 06’s and marked them “J113” it may not work so well. If J113’s are for some reason hard to obtain I wouldn’t put it past ‘em.

300,000 J113’s? Is that like having 100 gross of self sealing stem bolts, or did you actually buy that many on purpose?
